My Doll House

Well, it's really just one room.
Initially my plan was to make a small vignette of a decorated Christmas tree in a bell jar-like display. Then I begin collecting and making things. Before I knew it, I had way too much for a small display. So ... I had to collect and make more to fill a room. My husband's uncle built the room for me back in the early 1980's.

Come back for a tour on my next post.

This is exquisite and so elegant. Far too precious to be played with - well perhaps by you! I'll be back for the tour.

Nellie, this doll-house is terrific!!!!!
and the dolls of the previous post too.

I think that the light in the eyes and the smile of your great-niece is like yours.

I'm waiting with bated breath for the tour. Have you ever seen the Thorne Miniature Rooms in the Chicago Art Institute? http://www.artic.edu/aic/collections/thorne
They made me want to start making miniature rooms...

Funny ... "then I began collecting and making things" I think that's why God put us on this earth! 8-))) Cute!

I can't wait! I've always been fascinated by miniatures and at one point even had a doll house I decorated as Santas house. It ended up being one of the casualties of one of our downsizings. I kept a few little things from it...hmmm...wonder where they are?
